I was quite happy to see the 5 Veyrons at Pebble Beach but sort of disappointed not to have seen an F1 anywhere at Monterey. I was sure that would be at least one hanging around somewhere. As much as I like the Veyron, I'd still rather have a McLaren.

Driving a Macca AND chatting to the honeys on the phone?.... this guy is straight up pimpin' it! Haha, what a car! I think the design has aged brilliantly - it's still pretty and contemporary, and looks tiny too. Wide though, I guess. I've never seen one moving, or heard that amazing V12 (outside of Youtube, anyway!). I'm with you, Mark - the McLaren is so much rawer and more visceral than the Veyron. The big Bug seems to make driving insanely fast easy for any driver, whereas those who've seen the McLaren's bumpy 230mph+ run at MIRA on video will attest that these cars aren't for the faint-hearted.

Monterey presents the eternal problem : there's just so much going on, you just can't see everything. It's an incredible 10 days, and I consider myself very fortunate to have been able to go there. I went to Quail a few times and saw some wonderful vehicles, but I missed the F1. I haven't seen one since Goodwood in 1999. My life is so empty . . . .

That's a big ask. They're all in private collections : the Sultan of Brunei has 2, Ralph Lauren has one, McLaren has one. Even photos of them are few & far between online.
